We are seeking a Production Operations Director specializing in delivering high availability for web-based business software. Your mission is ensure Eloqua a delivers a reliable Marketing Automation multi-tenant SaaS solution to customers ranging from SMBs to Global Enterprises.
The successful Production Operations Director will ensure that Eloqua’s production infrastructure and applications are maintained and monitored on a 24x7 basis to ensure uptime and reliable performance for customers. You have the ability to balance urgent incidents with planned projects. You will maintain a close relationship with the Support organization and the rest of the R&D organization to ensure issues are communicated and acted upon when they have the potential to impact production uptime.
This position reports to VP, Systems Architecture. The Production Operations Director has the ability to leverage R&D team members to evaluate production risks in both the infrastructure and Eloqua’s software to recommend projects that reduce production risk. You will also assist the Sales team by answering technical questions from prospects evaluating Eloqua’s SaaS offering.
• Deep technology and software knowledge in business software, CRM or Marketing Automation a strong asset
• Ability to adapt technology skills to a SaaS multi-tenant environment supporting complex business software
• Exceptional prioritization skills and ability to evaluate risks of critical issues
• Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Consistently demonstrates resourcefulness, motivation, initiative.
• Excellent communication skills, both proactively and when under duress. Ability to work collaboratively with the Customer Success and Support organization and R&D organization to resolve customer issues.
• Extremely high energy and stamina to perform consistently and at a high level in a very demanding environment
Minimum Position Requirements
• 15+ years in software and technology
• 5+ years in a management position in a software / technology field, responsible for a web-based, OLTP back-end production environment
• 5+ years in a business software environment with a global reach
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server database technology
• Experience in lead generation, demand generation and B2B marketing a strong asset
• University degree in engineering/computer science/technical field is required
