Anti-Phishing Working Group (APWG)

The Anti-Phishing Working Group(APWG) is an industry association focused on eliminating the identity theft and fraud that result from the growing problem of phishing and email spoofing. The organization provides a forum to discuss phishing issues, define the scope of the phishing problem in terms of hard and soft costs, and share information and best practices for eliminating the problem.

 

Email Experience Council (EEC)

The Email Experience Council (EEC), is a new organization run by the DMA who's mission is to enhance the image and celebrate the ROI value of email marketing. This manifests through the proliferation of email and digital marketing best practices, trends, cutting edge technologies and the demonstration of applied success. The EEC is committed to conducting a broad series of email initiatives for a variety of organizations that highlight the positive impact and importance of email as a critical and viable marketing tool. The EEC members who belong to the organization are representative of other trade organizations, agencies, advertisers, technology partners, clients and companies focused on the potential of email marketing via mobile and other digital devices.

 

Email Sender and Provider Coalition (ESPC)

The Email Sender and Provider Coalition (ESPC) was formed to fight spam while protecting the delivery of legitimate email. Its members have recognized the need for strong spam solutions that ensure the delivery of legitimate email and have been very active in the war against spam. The ESPC is a cooperative group of industry leaders working to create solutions to the continued proliferation of spam and the emerging problem of deliverability through a combination of legislative advocacy, technological development, and industry standards.

 

International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP)

The International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) was established to define, promote and improve the privacy profession globally. They have developed and launched the first broad-based credentialing program in information privacy, the Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP). In addition, the IAPP offers Eloqua a full suite of educational services tailored to our needs privacy and security needs. We participate in their Academy and the Summit conferences, which is recognized as the principal medium for the discussion and debate of issues related to privacy policy and practices that might effect us and your businesses.

 

Mail Moves America(MMA)

The Mail Moves America (MMA) coalition is committed to a long-term effort to address Do Not Mail legislation and keeping the postal mail channel open. Joining the coalition gives Eloqua access to the latest information on Do Not Mail legislation and activities. It helps us ensure that our company's and your industry's voices are taken into consideration as the coalition works with policymakers and other interested parties on the Do Not Mail issue. Access to the mailbox, and local customers, is a survival issue for America's businesses. Neighborhood retailers and service providers, like the neighborhood pizza shop, hair salon, and auto repair service, all depend on locally targeted mail advertising to get in business and stay in business. Mail Moves America and Eloqua are actively working with state business groups and communicating with legislators about the importance of direct mail for consumers, businesses and the economy.

 

Messaging Anti-Abuse Working Group (MAAWG)

The Messaging Anti-Abuse Working Group (MAAWG) is an independent non-profit coalition of worldwide carriers and technology providers. With a broad base of Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and network operators representing almost one billion mailboxes, key technology providers and senders, MAAWG is dedicated to solving messaging abuse by working along three initiatives - collaboration across operators, best practices technology, and providing an industry voice into public policy. Eloqua is on the Board of Directors, chairs the senders committee, and also co-chairs the program committee.

 

SAS 70 Type I

SAS 70 is an internationally recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). This standard helps companies identify service organizations that comply with defined business processes and audit standards. Eloqua completed its SAS Type I Audit in December of 2008.

 

TRUSTe

TRUSTe is an independent organization that runs the world¹s largest privacy seal program. TRUSTe purpose is to establish trusting relationships between individuals and online organizations based on respect for personal identity and information in the evolving networked world.

TRUSTe's services support Eloqua's business growth by allowing us to communicate our industry leading commitment to privacy and security, and letting our customers and prospects know they can trust us with their information. The TRUSTe seal programs that Eloqua has been certified under are aligned with current privacy standards and regulations to mitigate risks for businesses, the Watchdog consumer complaint processes, and alternative dispute resolution programs that promote better business relationships.

The TRUSTe Web Privacy Seal marks companies that adhere to TRUSTe's strict privacy principles, and comply with the TRUSTe Watchdog dispute resolution process and the TRUSTe EU Safe Harbor Seal ensures that companies like Eloqua doing business with European citizens and companies comply with the Safe Harbor Program, a framework created by U.S. and European parties to avoid trade disruptions resulting from international privacy laws.

 

Word of Mouth Marketing Association

WOMMA is the official trade association for the word of mouth marketing industry.
